Wood Flooring Manufacturing Update

Custom Finishing Line Expanded
Last year, Cochran’s Lumber made a significant investment in our finishing equipment. After many (many, many) hours of install and testing, our professional millworkers have transformed the way in which your custom floor is finished. Made with precision and production logistics in mind, our cutting edge finishing machine takes unfinished boards and in one fluid motion finishes and dries them all in one step. This ensures accuracy, efficiency, and expansion – which has ultimately led to market growth and development.
In addition to our equipment upgrade, our lighting and ventilation were also modernized, giving our employees a better (and brighter!) work environment.
Here is a picture of the interior of our shop before our expansion and a picture of the interior afterward. As you can see, it is quite a transformation!
Additional Capacity
Earlier this year, after the finishing line expansion was complete, Cochran’s then began on a project to expand the interior square footage of the shop. Completed earlier this month, the shop remodel added an additional 6500 SF of space – space which will give the engineered flooring line much needed square footage for expansion. Plans to expand our custom mill working shop are also in the works.
