Cochran’s Lumber and Millwork is slated to work on a project with MDC called Milestone. Please tell us more about this project and the materials chosen from Cochran’s Lumber.
Milestone is a residential project outside Middleburg, Va, in beautiful Fauquier County. Milestone will feature Cochran’s engineered, pre-finished live sawn white oak with custom chocolate finish, engineered pre-finished antique white oak with custom finish, and premium black walnut flooring.

I have worked with Cochran’s Lumber for several years and especially for this particular project due to their ability to go outside the box and make a floor truly custom to meet our client’s needs. What is your personal favorite type of hardwood flooring?
I would say Antique Oak distressed for its beauty and durability. It gives any space a certain warmth and dimension and can be used with many types of finishes and styles.
